High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Fructose 1,6 Bisphosphate
Uridine Diphosphate Glucose ( UDP-glucose ) is an an important nucleotide sugar with the chemical formula C15H24N2O17P2 . It is involved in metabolic processes in the cell. It is a precursor to glycogen, UDP-galactose, and UDP-glucuronic acid, as well as other polysacchrides and glycosphingolipids.
UDP-Galactose can be detected in the low UV regime. Using a Newcrom BH mixed-mode column and a mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with a sulfuric acid (H2SO4) buffer, UDP-galactose can be retained, measured, and analyzed. This analysis method can be UV detected at 210 nm.
