Fentin is a fungicide made up of three aromatic groups on a tin atom. A single residue method was developed using QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe) method, to be used by EURL (European Union Reference Laboratory). Fentin was analyzed on a 3 micron Primesep 100 and Obelisc R column. Primesep 100 retains using embedded acidic ion-paring groups, while Obelisc R retains using multiple ionic-pairing groups and a long hydrophobic chain. Method is LC/MS compatible and same conditions can be used to separate many different pesticides.
